John Dennis, CEO of SteelTek, confirms 'in our drive to put in place quality management, service, product and performance capabilities we researched the design and manufacture ability on a global basis. The latest machinery which produces our light steel frame product is manufactured in New Zealand by Howick Engineering Ltd.
To ensure that SteelTek maximises product design capabilities we required a senior designer who knows the machine inside and out, who understands our products and the practical usage and application within our construction and structure divisions.
Our blossoming relationship with Howick and the future potential of our business is such that we have attained the services of Nick who is the son of the Howick proprietor. Quite simply there is no-one better qualified or experienced for the job.
This is a major breakthrough for the company. Nick will liaise closely with our retained structural engineer and train and develop a growing team of design professionals.
The Howick FrameCad™ roll-forming machinery from New Zealand is computer controlled and utilises long life rollers, and a powered decoiler which provides lower machine stress factors, longer life and a low level service requirement. The machine includes FrameCad™ software and integral PC for seamless conversion from design to manufacture.
The combination of quality design and rapid production capability gives SteelTek a vital edge over its competitors and services our established customer service ethic.
