Prefabricated buildings and components are manufactured in one location before being assembled at the site. The sections of the building are ready made in a fab shop and are precision cut using laser cutters, CNC milling and programmes like AutoCAD to guide the machinery. The automated nature of the process makes prefabrication ideal for buildings with a modular design. Repeat sections can be made from the same templates, keeping costs low.

Metal storage buildings are simple to construct because the prefabricated panels arrive on site in a similar style to the sections of a flat pack shed.
