Steel has the highest strength to weight ratio of any construction material - this strength advantage translates into better design flexibility, wider spans and material usage.

Steel frames and trusses are one third lighter than the equivalent timber frames and it takes less labour and time to complete the same structure. Because of its lighter weight, steel frames are easier to manhandle, assemble and erect.

Steel is a robust, rigid, dimensionally stable material that does not shrink, swell, warp or settle or suffer from movement caused by moisture related problems. The result being no jamming doors, sticking windows, leaking roofs or cracking cornices.

The factory manufacture and assembly of components means that they are made to high tolerances resulting in precision and quality products.
